CSL Americas takes delivery of second converted self-unloading vessel

MONTREAL, 25 October 2021 / PRNewswire / – The CSL Group (“CSL”) is pleased to announce that it has taken delivery of CSL Kajika, the second of two converted 77,250 DWT gravity-fed self-unloading vessels at COSCO Nantong Shipyard, the 22 October 2021.

The ship will operate in the CSL Americas fleet as part of the CSL international pool, where it will join the sister ship CSL Koasek, which was delivered on August 30, 2021 and has been trading on the west coast of North America since late September of this year.

The two CSL Kajika and CSL Koasek are the result of an innovative conversion project which saw the transformation of these two former Kamsarmax bulk carriers into modern gravity-fed self-unloaders. Each vessel is 225.30 meters long, 32.26 meters wide, with a boom of 80 meters.

Both vessels represent CSL’s continued investment in supporting its customers with modern, energy efficient and high performing sustainable assets that meet their changing needs and regulatory requirements.
