As a commissionaire, employees benefit from:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Benefit package
  • Full-time or part-time work

Security guards do not have a “typical day” with Commissionaires. Serving government, industrial and commercial sites means your landscape and experiences can change from day to day. What won’t change is your commitment to customer satisfaction. The entire management organization aims to provide direct support to the security officers on site. Ongoing support from site supervisors, district managers and the operations manager means guards can focus on providing a safe and secure environment for the client.

Guards can be expected to control access to sites, provide contractor escorts, CCTV monitoring, perform parking settlement services, reception duties, dispatch duties, courier services secure and mobile patrol and alarm response.

Ashley, currently HR Coordinator at Commissionaires, shared her success story:

“I joined the Commissionaires 12 years ago to gain experience after completing Policing Basics at Algonquin College. During those 12 years I worked as a Site Custodian in the Kingston District at several different sites including CFB Kingston, Penitentiaries and short term festivals and fairs.

“I then worked as a driver/call operator for the Security Operations Center, where I conducted regular patrols and responded to alarm calls. I had the opportunity to progress to a position of Supervisor and then Deputy Manager of the Security Operations Center. A few months ago I moved into Human Resources and am working as a Human Resources Coordinator and enjoying the new learning experiences that come with it. »
