Dubai Customs Logistics City Center clears Dhs 1.6 billion worth of goods in Q1 2022

Dubai Customs Logistics Center said it cleared 1.6 billion dirhams of goods in the first quarter of the year, while continuing to facilitate processes and operations for businesses and traders.

The center’s efforts have facilitated the timely arrival of humanitarian aid and supplies to affected countries due to global crises, in addition to supporting the completion of procedures for e-commerce businesses, which have experienced a significant increase in demand in recent years.

Sami Eisa, Senior Manager of Dubai Logistics City Customs Center, said, “Dubai Logistics City Customs Center completed 48,000 transactions and cleared goods worth Dhs 1.6 billion in the first quarter of this year.

He added: “The center supports international companies, including humanitarian missions, by expediting procedures and providing all necessary support, in particular shipments from the International Humanitarian City, which is the largest humanitarian logistics center in the world. .

Eisa said, “We support the mission of Dubai Logistics City in attracting international business and investment by introducing smart customs inspection services. This reflects the competence and efficiency of the emirate in providing the best logistics and customs services.

“The initiatives of our Center target the well-being and happiness of our employees to help develop their performance. An example of this is the electronic prospecting procedure, which has contributed to the faster clearance of shipments. At the same time, Dubai Customs engages its clients in different initiatives organized by the Center to understand their needs and serve them better.
