Otua Electric Three-Wheeled Cargo Launched at Rs 3.5 Lakh

Dandera Ventures has launched a new electric three-wheeled freighter called OTUA with a starting price of Rs 3.5 lakh and the cost is rising to 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The new OTUA Electric Three-Wheeled Cargo has several advanced capabilities. Dandera Ventures is a company specializing in the manufacture of last mile delivery and logistics vehicles.

Customers can also purchase the Otua Electric 3W Cargo as a subscription. The company will soon start sales of the vehicle for individual buyers in selected markets in India.

Otua first appeared on the reality show Shark Tank where Ashneer Grover, co-founder and former CEO of BharatPe signed a deal with Kshitij Bajaj, founder and CEO of Dandera Ventures.

According to reports, the Otua is specially designed for the last mile logistics and delivery segment, both for B2B and B2C logistics. The Outa three-wheeler is a fully electric vehicle and was produced in India.

It comes with the highest volume at 183 CC and has a maximum load capacity of 900 kg. The Outa 3W Cargo is claimed to provide a maximum range of 165 km per single charge (extended to over 300 km). OTUA contains a 15.8 kWh battery as well as a 12.8 kW and 49 Nm electric motor. It can reach a top speed of up to 55 km/h. It sports steel wheels equipped with disc brakes on all three wheels.

Otua three-wheel, two-door power sports a white exterior color scheme with black accents on its windshield, exterior mirrors and door handles with a cargo body or separate compartment.

It also offers best-in-class road visibility for drivers. It was designed and developed by the R&D division of Dandera Ventures. The OTUA features an aerodynamic design that reduces the aerodynamic drag coefficient by 25% compared to other similar vehicles in its segment.

The vehicle has a large driver’s cabin with air conditioning and is a connected electric vehicle with a driver fleet management application.

Otua is now available for pre-booking. The company has confirmed that deliveries will start from the first quarter of 2023. Initially, deliveries will be launched in NCR Delhi, Maharashtra and Gujarat and will be expanded across the country in a phased manner. The Otua cargo electric scooter has no other competitor in its segment, particularly with regard to its load capacity.
