A 40-year-old teacher was killed and four others, including a six-year-old child, were injured after a container truck hit three two-wheelers and a car in the Pirangut area near Pune on Tuesday morning.

The incident happened while the container was moving from Bhugaon to Pirangut and the driver lost control of the heavy vehicle on a sloping stretch of road.
Yuvraj Sambhaji Borule, who worked as a teacher at a local school and drove his two-wheeler, suffered serious injuries which he later succumbed to.
Three people riding another bike were injured when they fell after the container hit their vehicle. The injured on the second bike have been identified as Atish Waghmare, Tushar Adsul and Akash Kamble (6). Another person, Prashant Sudam Shinde (40), on a third bicycle, also sustained shoulder injuries after falling. Additionally, a WagonR car was damaged after the container crashed into it.
Assistant Inspector Ramesh Gaikwad said: “We have arrested container driver Gorelal Kori. He said he could not control the vehicle due to brake failure. An examination of the vehicle by the Regional Transportation Officer will determine if there has been a problem with the brakes. We are also investigating possible negligence on the part of the driver.
