Swiss MSC Builds Air Cargo Solution to Meet Customer Demand

The Swiss company MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA has started to develop a new MSC Air Cargo solution in response to customer demand and to complement its container transport solutions.

MSC Air Cargo has been in development for several months and the new solution will be available from early 2023, following the delivery of the first of four MSC-branded Boeing 777-200Fs to be operated by Atlas Air, a subsidiary of Atlas Air Worldwide. Holdings, Inc, according to a press release from MSC.

MSC has appointed Jannie Davel, formerly of Delta Cargo, Emirates SkyCargo and DHL to grow its air cargo business and build the team that will implement it.

This is our first step into this market, and we plan to continue exploring various avenues to grow air cargo in a way that complements our core container shipping business,” Soren Toft, President and CEO of MSC commented on the new initiative.
