Van Flips delivery near Old Mission Santa Barbara

Package delivery may be delayed for some Santa Barbara residents after a delivery van got too wide at the Alameda Padre Serra and Los Olivos Road triangle, hitting a sidewalk and the old stump of an ancient sycamore tree and overturning.

The crash, which happened on Sunday afternoon but was released on Tuesday, blocked traffic at the intersection near the old mission for about an hour as it was determined the driver was uninjured and the dark gray-blue van, containing packages bearing the Amazon logo, has been phased out.

Every day, the staff of the Independent from Santa Barbara works hard to sort the truth from the rumor and keep you informed of what is happening throughout the community of Santa Barbara.
